Star-eyed Jacks is
the brainchild of Cassidy Jones, Leo Salsbury, and Max Czecker. The band began in 1973, when Max's psychiatrist suggested
he find a more constructive outlet for his rage (he had been involved in vandalizing and other bad things). He teamed up with
Leo, an old high school friend, and Cassidy, his 2nd cousin.
Originally Star-eyed Jacks was going to be a country band, but then the bandmembers realized that none of them like the
south. Instead they decided to play punky-rock music.
